Upcoming Events:

  • Missions Opportunity: FBC Delta has their 2020 Cochran Canada mission trip scheduled for August 3-9. The individual cost will be 800.00. They will be doing block parties focused on Latinos who represent 3 different countries. If any individual from Mercy Hill is interested in joining FBC Delta, please contact Donna Shaver.   • JUL’s Meeting (Thursday, February 6th): 

    The next JUL’s gathering will be Thursday, February 6, 2020 at 11:00 am at Don Carlos Restaurant, 1907 E Jackson Blvd, Jackson.
    Hope you will be able to attend.


  • Business Meeting and Dessert Social (Sunday, February 9th *UPDATED*):

We will be having a Business meeting at 6 PM, February 9th, to go over the 2020 budget, and a dessert social afterwards. We ask every family bring a dessert. Hope to see you there!

  • Secret Sister Reveal (Saturday, March 7th): 

Hello Mercy Hill Secret Sisters! This years Secret Sister Reveal will take place on Saturday, March 7th at 1:00 p.m. at the church. Come prepared to enjoy some sweet treats and even sweeter fellowship with your Mercy Hill Sisters! The only thing you need to bring is a reveal gift for your secret sister and a typed or written recipe for your favorite dessert to share with everyone! Please RSVP to Taylor Hamlett at 573-579-2922 or by Friday, February 28th and let her know whether or not you are able to attend and if you would like to participate in Secret Sisters, again! We are wanting to see if there is enough interest in continuing this specific ministry moving forward! If you are not able to attend you can give your reveal gift to Taylor Hamlett or Kelly Poore for your Sister!  

  • Lottie Moon Update:   

    Our Lottie Moon goal was set at $2500.00. We have not reached that yet. We will
    need to send a check to MO Baptist Convention by the end of January. If you
    have not given to this mission, you still have a short time to do so


  • Feed My Starving Children (April 3rd-4th) 

    Please mark your calendars for April 3rd-4th for the FMSC event at Jackson Civic Center. More info to come later.

  • Worship Ministry/Tech Ministry:          

    If you are interested in joining the worship team, or tech team, please contact Kayla Dowdy at We’d love more singers, drum players, bass players, guitar players, and keyboard players (you do NOT need to be a virtuoso to join– just a passion for God’s work and music!). As far as “tech” goes, as long as you know how to click a mouse or use a touch screen, you can do tech! 


  • Meal Train Ministry: If you are interested in providing meals for those who are sick, for those who are in need, or know someone who is in need of this ministry, please contact Casey King (

  • Handyman Ministry: If you need help with or consultation for a maintenance project at your home, we have a group of people available to assist. If you need help, or if you want to be a part of this ministry, please call Kent Zimmerman at Kent will connect you with one of the members of this team.


  • CarePortal, through director Shelly Girard, connects children and families served by the Division of Family Services directly to participating churches in our area.  Through the generosity of our local churches, our area is one of the most impactful in the nation.  If you would like to contribute to these families, just respond to the CarePortal requests that are emailed periodically or let Teri Burke know.

    Hope for One More places children into foster care when they are removed from their own homes.  Paul and Patricia Aydelott work on counseling and reunification with the parents as a first option. If you would like to become involved in helping with foster care, please call Crissy Mayberry (573-979-5774) or you can talk to Teri. This doesn’t necessarily mean becoming a foster parent-there are so many ways to serve!



  • Kids’ TRIBE:  Kids’ TRIBE is worship for kids from kindergarten through fourth grade; it takes place during the Sunday morning worship hour. We also offer extended session (ages 3-5) and a nursery (infants-2) during the worship service.


  • Wednesday Activities: Choir at 9:30 am and Bible Study at 10:30 am


  • Women on Mission: Women on Mission will meet every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 9:30 a.m. at Mercy Hill Church.


  • JUL’s: On the 1st Thursday of every month JUL’s will meet for lunch.
